While traveling to Kuala Lumpur, last weekend, we got the chance to learn more about Malaysia. Our 2 days trip took us around the Klang Valley but also to the Taman Negara National Park.
When you are in Kuala Lumpur, you have no idea that this modern Asian city, with its high buildings and busting life, is actually surrounded by jungle where vegetation and wildlife abound. The Taman Negara national park is only 3 hours and a half by car from Kuala Lumpur; and the best thing with this tour is that everything is arranged so you do not have to worry about anything.
A very professional and friendly driver picked us up early in the morning at our hotel in a comfortable van. We sat and enjoyed the ride watching the landscape evolution as we were leaving the city then getting close to the national park. We were offered water, coffee, tea and exotic fruits from local stalls as we were having a break before reaching Taman Negara.
Once we got there, we had lunch on a floating restaurant located on the shore of the river that runs through the national park. The food is included in the tour and we were offered to choose among typical Malaysian fried rice or fried noodles with chicken, beef or seafood and a drink.
Then the time for the trekking had begun! We got on a boat to cross the river and reach the Taman Negara national park‘s entrance. Our friendly guide was waiting there for us. Throughout the tour, our guide explained us the different aspects and uses of the vegetation from this area as well as interesting survival tips! He also informed us how and when we could see animals living in the forest.
The trekking in the national park takes about 4 hours and one of the most interesting parts is the Canopy Walkway. We followed it for half an hour with the jungle and amazing views under our feet. Our adventure also took us to the top of a hill to admire landscapes from above.
Then we embarked in a canoe and went to visit an aborigine village. The trip on the river was fun and we went through some rapids. Once in the village, the natives showed us how they make fire, hunt and explained us their traditions and way of life. Finally, we came back to the canoe that took us back to the starting point. From there we got on board of our van and went back to Kuala Lumpur.
This tour is very complete and well organized. The service offered by the trekking guide and especially by the driver was excellent. I definitely recommend anyone who goes to Kuala Lumpur to experience this tour and visit Taman Negara. Book your Taman Negara Day Tour on eOasia.com.
And for those who get more time there is also the possibility to arrange a 2 days tour to Taman Negara, which includes the accommodation and a night trekking. According to the national park guides, there is more chance to see the wildlife at nighttime. Book your Taman Negara 2 Days Tour on eOasia.com.
Thanks to Wintours to give us the opportunity to try this activity, it was a very good experience.
