We tested for you Off Road Buggy & Canyon Tubbing around Ubud
We were picked up punctually at our hotel in Ubud at around 9:30 am. After about a 30min drive, we reached the site, where our full day of adventure was about to begin.
It all started with instruction on a video, explaining how to sit in the tube and how to behave in the water.
We then went to the locker room to change and get our equipment, consisting of a life jacket and a helmet. We were then brought down by van to the starting point of the canyoning adventure.
A surprise was awaiting us, to go to the river we had to take a zip line. The adrenaline kicked in and set the mood for the exciting day!
We drifted some 40km downstream in our ‘tube’ for about 1.5 hours, which was a lovely and unique way to spend a morning in the jungle.
Bouncing around on inflated tubes including rocky plunges at certain points along the course, the scenery, waterfall, and spills made for a fantastic day.
The staff who assisted us on the river and guided us through the boulders seemed to be very knowledgeable and made us feel very safe at all times which was great.
As our journey on the water ended, we were brought back to the site, showered at the facilities and headed to their bamboo forest restaurant for lunch. The extended lunch buffet was excellent post tubing: really satisfying for our vegetarian palates and helped us regained our strength.
We then continued our adventure with the most exciting quad buggy discovery tour through hidden parts of Bali. First, we were given helmets & boots and then warmed up on a track to get used to the quads.
Once the instructors made sure we were ready, we left the track and headed off. It was fun driving along wild rain forest trails and muddy jungle tracks, going through rural villages tackling off-road sections, and gliding through bamboo forests. The exhilarating tour lasted about two and a half hours in total.
We absolutely loved our day and both the canyoning & quad driving exceeded all our expectations! So much fun, adrenaline, and no other adventure bring you that close to Bali’s unspoiled and beautiful nature!
